I'm sorry to hear about your personal problems. Under Saudi labor law, Article 74 allows you to resign from your job. However, any exit or termination should adhere to the employment agreement made between you and your employer.

Article 75 of the Saudi Labor Law states that "The worker shall have the right to resign his employment in accordance with the terms of the contract." This may mean giving appropriate notice, which is usually 30 to 60 days, as per your employment contract.

Regarding the refusal of your employer to let you resign, under Article 77 of the Saudi Labor Law it states that "The worker may leave his work without notice if the employer has failed to fulfill his contractual or legal obligations towards the worker."

In your situation, if you are facing refusal from your employer to accept your resignation, it might amount to a dispute that could be resolved under Article 163 of the Saudi Labor Law. This provision states that: "Any disputes arising between the employer and the worker shall be considered by the Commission for the Settlement of Labor Disputes."

However, you should consider the potential consequences of breaking the contract early. As stated in Article 80, ""If the contract is for a definite term, and the worker resigned before the end of the term, he shall be obliged to compensate the employer for the losses and damages caused by the resignation, provided that the compensation shall not exceed half of the worker's wage for three months or the remaining period of the contract whichever shorter".

So, make sure to follow the procedure correctly to avoid any legal trouble. Consider having an open dialogue with your employer or contacting your embassy or consulate for further localized legal advice. Their team can guide you through your options according to laws and your personal situation.
