Based on Saudi Laws, specifically, Law of Procedures Before Sharia Courts, mistakes on invoices may be treated as errors in proper procedure and do not carry criminal charges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) unless it can be proven there was fraudulent intent.
Article 163 of the Law of Procedures Before Sharia Courts states: "If the documents are proven to include a mistake or an error, the document shall be corrected and the case shall be reconsidered."
However, it also depends on the terms and conditions of your company. It is advisable to review your employment contract and company's policies to see how such errors are handled internally. But as per Saudi business laws, clerical errors such as invoice mistakes without fraudulent intent are usually not subject to severe penalties such as imprisonment.
Please communicate transparently with your company about the mistake. It is often most beneficial to acknowledge the error promptly and take corrective measures, as you have done by issuing the correct invoice at the soonest opportunity. While employers in KSA have significant powers over employees, such as the ability to end employment contracts, they generally cannot initiate criminal proceedings over small errors, unless they can demonstrate that the error was made with fraudulent intent or resulted in significant financial loss.
